Preparation of the working solution by dilution 1:100. Suitable as solution and storage buffer for DNA. The EDTA contained inhibits traces of DNAses and protects the nucleic acid from degradation.
TE buffers are generally unsuitable as solution buffers for cloning, as they also inhibit enzymes such as ligases by complexing bivalent cations.
