Storage below +18°C may cause crystallization of SDS. The crystals can be brought back into solution by briefly heating to 30 °C to 50 °C. Prolonged heating to above 30 °C should be avoided, otherwise hydrolysis of the SDS and formation of fatty alcohols may occur.
