10x concentrated electrophoresis running buffer.
0.4 M Tris, 0.2 M acetic acid, 10 mM EDTA-Na2, pH = 8.5 ± 0.2, microfiltered.

The TAE buffer is ideally suited as a gel and running buffer system.
TAE buffer for electrophoresis of nucleic acids with lower buffer capacity than TBE. Linear dsDNA runs faster in TAE than in TBE buffer. Best results with supercoiled DNA and better separation of fragments > 4 kb compared to TBE.

Concentrated TAE tends to precipitate salts during storage. Shake before use!
