The test is designed to determine the carbonate hardness (KH) in water from approx. 0.5... 15 °dKH without pre-dilution. Higher degrees of hardness can be determined by pre-dilution with distilled water.
The determination of the carbonate hardness is carried out by acid titration. Carbonate is converted to CO2. At the end of the conversion, the indicator changes colour. The color change is determined visually.
